What actually matters
Four things worth checking before you specify.
Will delivery forty match delivery one?
Grain and colour can vary between blocks even from the same quarry. For a large order, ask how blocks are graded before they're released.
Are you buying from the quarry or a trader?
A trader can usually tell you the trade name of a stone. Only the quarry owner can tell you which block it came from and why it was selected.
Can they produce test certificates?
For government tenders especially, ask for current lab certificates rather than accepting a general spec sheet.
